Fairfield, CA – April 14, 2026 – Gateway Health Alliances will present new clinical research demonstrating its patented botanical extracts increase circulating GLP-1 activity during an industry webinar hosted by SupplySide Supplement Journal on April 28, the company announced today.

The live virtual event, “Weight Management and GLP-1 Support,” will bring together ingredient innovators and formulators exploring next-generation solutions for weight management and metabolic health.

Gateway will present data showing that its patented botanical ingredients, Dyglomera® and CQR-300®, increase circulating GLP-1 activity through inhibition of the DPP-4 enzyme. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in 248 subjects evaluated effects on GLP-1 levels, satiety, energy intake, body weight, body fat, and key metabolic markers.

Gateway’s presentation, titled “Harnessing Natural GLP-1 in a Multi-Pathway Weight-Management Strategy,” will be delivered by Avi Kothari, Product Development Manager at Gateway Health Alliances.

“To our knowledge, this is the first human clinical evidence demonstrating that botanical ingredients can directly increase circulating GLP-1 via DPP-4 inhibition,” said Kothari.

Building on these findings, the session will emphasize the importance of a broader, multi-pathway strategy to weight management—one that goes beyond a single hormone to address appetite regulation, metabolic function, and overall metabolic health.

“GLP-1 has become a powerful focal point in the weight management landscape, but it is only one part of a much more complex physiological system,” Kothari added. “This session will help brands translate emerging GLP-1 science into responsible, effective product strategies that support healthy weight management and metabolic balance.”

Key takeaways from Gateway’s presentation will include:

  • How new clinical data validates natural GLP-1 support through DPP-4 modulation

  • What these findings mean for formulators navigating the GLP-1 landscape

  • Why multi-pathway approaches resonate more strongly with consumers and regulators than single-target solutions

  • How to design science-based weight management products suited for daily, long-term use

The broader webinar will explore a range of ingredient strategies, including prebiotics, fibers, botanicals, amino acids, and other functional nutrients, that support satiety, blood sugar balance, metabolism, and digestive health as part of a holistic approach to weight management.

Gateway encourages formulators and brand leaders to attend the session to gain practical insights into applying emerging GLP-1 science within a DSHEA-compliant, comprehensive metabolic health framework.
